Great news via email from Amazon this morning – the wondrous Pixar film Up is coming to 3D Blu-ray - and is indeed being released in only 4 days time, on Monday 9th January. I have never seen the film in 3D. I was sceptical of the whole concept (I wasn’t a Pixar fan and hadn’t enjoyed any of their films) so skipped it in the cinema when the rest of the family went to see it. When an opportunity came to review it for the site I worked for at the time I jumped at the chance so that the children could watch it again, as they had loved it so much. Little did I suspect that I would enjoy it so much and immediately regret not seeing it in 3D myself.
When I asked Victoria what Micah might want for Christmas this year she suggested the Blu-ray of Up – but I suggested not. I had an inkling that it might arrive on 3D Blu and if it did I could then give him my old 2D copy. It looks like that opportunity has arrived a lot quicker than I suspected.
